I am a hyper-focused, results-driven professional who excels in strategic planning, organization, and execution. I have been sharpening these talents since my working journey began at 8 years old in my parents' video rental store. Today, I utilize these skills to manage talent development programs that improve employee performance.
My top five CliftonStrengths are Context, Achiever, Strategic, Responsibility, and Learner.
I am passionate about making innovation accessible. My whole life I have capitalized on opportunities to improve upon processes, and I am always keen to discover new methods and tools that make practical sense.
The shiny new thing is only as good as (1) its power to help us advance our goals, and (2) people's desire to actually use it. When the stars align to reveal a new solution to increase satisfaction, efficiency, and competitive edge, I'm your champion!
My mission is to champion Next Generation Talent Development. This means working closely with organizational leadership in the earliest stages of discovery and strategy. I care deeply about building vital solutions that achieve high performance and align with business goals. I am determined to deliver value in these ways:
Maximize human capital
Retain talent
Accelerate innovation
Streamline processes
Reduce costs
Sustain competitive edge
Align goals among business units
While attending the University of Pittsburgh, I gained valuable experiences working as a manager for a major pharmacy chain. After graduation, my journey transitioned into merchandising. This is where I learned the operations and culture of a corporate headquarters, acting as a product developer and assistant buyer. I will forever be grateful for those opportunities. Ultimately, I decided to transition to a customer-facing role as a store manager who was responsible for the visual integrity of the space and human resource management. It was during this time that I realized teaching is in my blood.
After successfully training staff on best practices and motivating associates to meet sales goals through creative competitions, I made the decision to go back to school for my teaching certificate. This is when I got the unique opportunity to blend my love of history with my innate teaching talents to contribute to my community in a meaningful way as a social studies teacher.
