My Story
My Talents
I am a hyper-focused, action-oriented professional who excels in strategic planning, organization, and execution. I have been sharpening these talents since my working journey began at 8 years old in my parents' video rental store. Today, I use them to design and deliver effective learning and development solutions.
My top five CliftonStrengths are Context, Achiever, Strategic, Responsibility, and Learner.
My Passions
I am passionate about creating order out of chaos. Give me hundreds of pages of content and I will deliver blended multimedia learning solutions that engage and entertain the audience while they grow their knowledge and skills. This creative process energizes me, and I am motivated by quantitative goals to measure success. I love to keep score so we can measure growth.
My Mission
I care deeply about building vital solutions that solve problems. I love to create and deliver new things that make an impact on others and bring value to their lives. I will stop at nothing to make something better, especially if I believe someone else will benefit from it.
My Experience
While attending the University of Pittsburgh, I gained valuable experiences working as a manager for a major pharmacy chain. After graduation, my journey transitioned into merchandising. This is where I learned the operations and culture of a corporate headquarters, acting as a product developer and assistant buyer. I will forever be grateful for those opportunities. Ultimately, I decided to transition to a customer-facing role as a store manager who was responsible for the visual integrity of the space and human resource management. It was during this time that I realized teaching is in my blood.
After successfully training staff on best practices and motivating associates to meet sales goals through creative competitions, I made the decision to go back to school for my teaching certificate. This is when I got the unique opportunity to blend my love of history with my innate teaching talents to contribute to my community in a meaningful way as a social studies teacher.
Fast forward to today. I am an Instructional Designer who has the pleasure of designing and developing learning opportunities and growth pathways for a multitalented workforce. It is a labor of love. I enjoy meeting people across the organization and collaborating with them to solve performance problems, enhance skills, and develop careers. In my current role, I contribute to varied initiatives that include the following:
Performance Review Cycle
Leadership Development Program
Performance Culture
Community Engagement
Human-Centered Design
